Who We Are

Founded in 1994, MAAN, Michigan Animal Adoption Network, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization for animal rescue in the Metro Detroit area. We frequently engage in special promotions and fundraising efforts. The Network is always looking for new and different ways to educate the public, to raise money to continue its rescue efforts, and to find loving homes for homeless pets. The Network has grown tremendously in the last several years, and continues to do so, hoping to one day make it so all rescue groups work together to help animals.

Animal Care Network

The Animal Care Network (ACN) is a dedicated group of volunteers spending time each weekend in low-income areas in suburban Wayne and Oakland counties providing relief to strictly outdoor pets. They also set up Shot Clinics and Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinics. -more-

Adopt-a-Pet

This is a coalition of area rescue groups and foster homes working to place rescued and unwanted animals into new, permanent homes where they will receive the love and attention they so richly deserve.  -more-

Matthew had his legs wraps removed about two weeks ago. The surgery was total success. Matthew now has full use of his back legs. He is currently being rehabilitated using aqua therapy, and he continues to gain strength and flexibility.

Matthew came to MAAN in April with a fractured pelvis and non-functioning back legs. He had surgery on his legs at the end of May.

Matthew is ready to go to his new home. He is housebroken, neutered and current on all vet care. If you are interested in adopting him, please call or e-mail and request an adoption application.

Oscar

In February the Animal Care Network received a call about a puppy that was not being taken care of. The team paid a visit to the address and asked to see the puppy. They were led into a dark basement and the owner opened up a laundry chute door in the wall of the basement. This is where the puppy was being kept. ACN workers were able to persuade the owner to surrender the thin, dehydrated mixed breed puppy. Oscar was nursed back to health and several months later was adopted into a great permanent home. He will never have to spend time alone in the dark again.  These are photos of Oscar in his new home, where he is very much spoiled and loved.
